Millie MacQuacken, mother of nine, has been selected as the 2014 Lucky Duck Mother of the Year. As the DEO (Ducky Executive Officer) of Lucky Duck Publishing, I selected Millie as this year's winner after receiving an essay entitled

We flew out to New York to celebrate the 4th of July with the Statue of Liberty! Suzy-Q fell in love with Lady Liberty, so we got her this costume. Now, she wears it all the time!
We hope you are enjoying a very ducky summer! Have you read any good books lately?
Elaine had a great time presenting Ducks in a Row to the very ducky Pre-K through 3rd grade students
of St. Barnabas School in Beverly.

The following weekend, she was guest author for a book signing at the school's annual book fair. The school
art fair coincided with the book fair, where students, parents and grandparents enjoyed the spectacular
ARTI GRAS in the school gym.

ARTI GRAS featured a Young Authors table with some very entertaining books by St. Barnabas students.

Elaine visited St. Therese Chinese Catholic School in China Town, where she was the special guest presenter for Trust and Compassion Week, an endeavor by the school to bring awareness to the issue of bullying. "We seek to encourage the children to be loving neighbors so they may create communities of active trust and compassion in school and in the community," said Steven Cottam, St. Therese Religious Coordinator.
